Fall is on its way and though we’re not there quite yet, I’ve already started thinking about variations and interpretations of the fall collections. One such collection is from Alexander Wang (via Who What Wear Daily). Alexander Wang has an edgy perspective for his women’s wear looks. Everybody deserves an edgy outfit option. Here’s ours.

We’ve done a lot of jean outfits lately, but bear with me. I don’t know many people who don’t wear jeans at least once or twice a week, so why not explore jeans options thoroughly? Because we live in jeans.
Polyvore set: Peach ain’t so bad
I’m not sure I can explain this one. Sometimes you just feel it and you step out of the way. Well, that’s what happened here. The color combination in this set is great. You rarely see peach and shades of navy blue paired together, but I really like it.

Here’s another menswear inspired outfit. The influences here are a little more subtle and the overall feel is softer. The top has some pintuck detail at the bust that reminds me of a tuxedo shirt. The waistcoat worn open adds another color to the look and the bag, though metallic, is not over embellished and has clean lines.
Menswear for day time
I really do dig menswear for women. Can you tell yet? I especially love menswear for plus-size women because it translates nicely. Lapels and woven fabrics fit nicely on our frames. You can see just how well it works with what Elena Miro designed for their Autumn 2008 collection.

Polyvore set: Menswear #1
It’s back to the basics with this set. Taking a cue from our menswear theme this week, I decided to put together this black and white combination. I think the watch makes it decidedly menswear, but there are masculine touches throughout– like the no-frills bag. The scarf, worn around the neck, is a relaxed version of the tie.
