Where is the most fashionable place on earth? I’m beginning to think it’s Helsinki. I stalk the street style site Hel Looks regularly for style inspiration and Helsinki has shown itself to be a city that takes leaps of faith with its fun fashion sense. Here are a few of my favorite finds from 2008.

Open Discussion: Resolutions and Resolve in 2009
I’m glad 2008 is over. I really am. There were awesome things that happened in ‘08, but for the most part this year sucked and I was glad to see it go. Ahh! Anyway, along with a new year comes new year’s resolutions. Whatever your position on resolutions, it is the time of year to reflect on the past and project new goals for the future.
Kinda loving this dress
I was making my way through my usual news feeds when I found a link to a website featuring dresses for plus size figures called More To Love. Despite the somewhat dubious name, the site actually has a serious selection of nice dresses ranging from wedding gowns and formal dresses to casual dresses from the Kiyonna folks.
Polyvore Set: Channeling Alexander Wang
I am a fan of Alexander Wang’s work. It’s edgy yet relaxed, cool and effortless. It was his Fall 2008 collection that made me sit up and take notice of this young designer’s work. In this outfit I channel Alexander Wang’s Fall 2008 collection.
One custom-made wardrobe coming right up
This year I’ve thought long and hard about the great fashion divide between regular sizes and plus sizes. One thing I get sickened over is standing in the department store looking at something I could wear, but can’t because the largest size is a size 12. I am more than wondering if it isn’t high time for me to do what it takes to get the clothes I want.
The office Christmas party
Yes, yes. I know, it’s been another long while. Here’s what’s been going on. I got an awesome new job! I work at an ad agency with like-minded, fun-loving, hard-working individuals. I have decided that I love it.
