No one is immune to dissing the fashions at the Oscars. We all do it and actually, I don’t think it’s a bad thing at all. Style dissing helps develop your critical eye for design and it’s a great way to start figuring out your own style. Just don’t be too mean!
Even though I didn’t get invited to the Oscars (aw, shucks!), I still fantasized about how I would have styled myself if I had to go to the big show. Dissing is easy until it’s your turn to dress for the event.
OSCAR TRENDS
Many stars like Tina Fey and Anne Hathaway chose shiny metallic floor length gowns that really show off their necklines and nips in at the waist for a very dramatic presence. The dresses look a lot like liquid mirror balls. These stunning dresses are among my favorite looks of the night.

There were more trains at the Oscars than you can shake a stick at.

And the jewels! The atendees really laid it on thick.

OUR TURN
I looked for some evening and cocktail options online to create a look I think I would have worn to the Oscars. I will admit my look is not as formal as the occasion calls for, but I think a shorter skirt is more flattering for my frame.

YOUR TURN
Tell me about your fantasy look for the Oscars. Would you go full on formal or scaled down to match your own tastes? Feel free to use any of the items below in your description:

I’m loving this one:
Whoops. I guess it didn’t attach, but I love the Tadashi silk gown.
