I must say, I’m partial to many things that some may consider “grandma chic.” I love taking charming things popular in years past and incorporating them into my wardrobe. My latest obsession is clearly no exception. I think it’s about time brooches are welcomed back. Wearing a brooch is a great way to quickly and easily infuse personality into your clothing, especially outerwear. Coats can often be very basic and sometimes a fashion snoozer. By adding this adornment, you can differentiate your warm pea coat or a trench coat from everyone else’s. I particularly love pins that are really eclectic. For example, I have fallen for this cute and affordable piece by Armani Exchange (not featured here). If you’re less adventurous, I think the best way to sample this style is by wearing a classic piece such as the rhinestone bow shown in the roundup.
